Dal Paull Grants

The Dal Paull Fund was created in 2005 to provide grants for youth baseball and softball programs in Hampton Roads. All applicants must be nonprofit organizations. Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 are awarded annually.

Who is eligible to apply for funding?
Nonprofit youth baseball and softball programs operating in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations.

What can be funded:
Specific needs such as:

  • Equipment
  • Uniforms
  • Capital Improvements

How to Apply:

Completed grant applications must be received by November 19.  Mail completed applications to the Dal Paull Fund, c/o Hampton Roads Community Foundation, One Commercial Place, Suite 1410, Norfolk, VA 23510-2103. Review Process
The Dal Paull Fund is a donor advised fund of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation. The fund’s donor, Dal Paull, will review all application materials and recommend grant recipients for final approval by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation board of directors. All applicants will be notified by December 31 of the results of their requests.

– to replace a dugout
Deep Creek Baseball Association – for batting helmets and chin straps
Suffolk Youth Athletic Association – for break-away bases

2008:
Bennett’s Creek Little League
– to purchase uniforms
Fleet Park Little League – for repairs to tractor mowers
Wilson Little League – for a batting cage

2007:
Chesapeake Little League – to purchase a generator for concession
Little League Inc. of Portsmouth -  for break-away bases and equipment
Warwick Little League -  to support dugout renovations and capital improvements

2006:
Central Accomack Little League - for a new batting cage
Naval Base Little League - for break-away bases and a lawn mower
