We are pleased to link you to other organizations that may help you find resources to access and pay for a college education. The listing of information does not imply endorsement by our foundation.

Local Scholarship Resources

  • Anchor Scholarship Foundation – Scholarships for dependents of those who have served at least six years in Naval Surface Forces (Atlantic or Pacific).  Students are not required to be residents of Hampton Roads.
  • Dolphin Scholarship Foundation  – Scholarships for children of those who have served in Submarine Force or submarine support.  Students are not required to be residents of Hampton Roads.
  • Virginia Beach City Public School’s Scholarship Central – A searchable database of local, state and national scholarship opportunities.  You do not have to be a Virginia Beach Public School student to access the site.
  • Norfolk Public Schools Financial Aid and Scholarship Information – Listing of local, state and national scholarship opportunities and approximate deadlines.  You do not have to be a Norfolk Public School student to access the site.
  • Chesapeake Public School College and Scholarship Information – Listing of local, state and national scholarship opportunities and approximate deadlines.  You do not have to be a Chesapeake Public School student to access the site.
  • The Lincoln-Lane Foundation, 207 Granby Street, Ste. 302, Norfolk, VA 23510   (757) 622-2557 – Provides college scholarships to Hampton Roads students.  Applications must be requested in writing in October.  This organization does not have a web site. 
  • The Southeast Virginia Community Foundation – Administers several scholarships for students from Portsmouth and other Hampton Roads cities.

  • ACCESS College Foundation – Assists public school students in South Hampton Roads with the college admissions and financial aid process
  • FASTWEB – A comprehensive source of financial aid information, advice and tools
  • KnowHow2Go – Provides tips by grade level for middle and high school students to prepare for college
  • CollegeView – Search for colleges using various criteria such as location, area of study, campus size, religious affiliation and athletics
  • School Grants – A blog that provides information on the types of grants available for college.
